Jesús Arredondo has over 15 years of experience in media and government relations, including concentrated experience in the energy industry, providing guidance to energy stakeholders in the Western and California energy markets. Since launching Advantage Consulting, he oversees regulatory case filings and related activities including coordinating the activities of outside legal counsel and lobbying efforts for generation owners, energy solutions firms and not-for-profit energy coalitions.
During his career, Arredondo has worked as an energy consultant for two major public relations firms in the United States and Mexico. Most recently, Arredondo served as a policy consultant to a transmission project, principal consultant on an education effort in California concerning natural gas and on a national education campaign concerning the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s push for standard market design. Before becoming a consultant, Arredondo served four years as Director of Regulatory and Government Affairs for an independent power producer and two years at the California Power Exchange where he served as Director of Corporate Communications.
Arredondo earned degrees from the University of California, Davis and the University of California, Los Angeles and is a Certified Financial Analyst.
